VELTMAN CLEARS

25: Aaron Wan-Bissaka swings a cross in from the left, it's dangerous, and Joel Veltman has to put it behind for a corner.

MITOMA'S VOLLEY PALMED AWAY

21: After a long spell of possession in the West Ham box, Joao Pedro chips the ball to the back stick where Kaoru Mitoma meets it on the volley, but Fabianski is equal to the effort and bats it away!

GOOD CHANCE FOR ALBION

18: Gruda's free-kick from the right is passed across the face of goal by Dunk beautifully, but nobody is there to meet it! The hosts get it clear.

GRUDA FOULED, FREE-KICK WASTED

14: Brajan Gruda gets the better of Kudus as the Ghana international trips the Albion man on the far side of the box. The resulting free-kick is sent in by the Albion no. 8, but West Han half clear before Dunk nods it behind.

BOWEN DENIED BY VERBRUGGEN

8: Bowen gets round Estupinan and has no support as he bursts into the box. He's approaching from a tight angle and his effort would need to be special to beat Bart at his near post, which the West Ham striker fails to do with his low strike.

A SLOW OPENING FIVE MINUTES

Not the most enthralling opening to a game you'll ever see. Neither team have been able to keep hold of the ball particularly well. A Kudus cross from the left comes into the box but Dunk clears.

1: Let's go.

A TOUCHING TRIBUTE

Just before kick-off there's a period of applause for Oscar Fairs, a goalkeeper in the Irons' under-15s who recently passed away.

HURZELER: WE HAVE TO STICK TOGETHER

Fabian Hurzeler on West Ham: "I think it's a team with a lot of individual quality. It's a team who can create a lot of chances and I think their last few games were quite positive for them. They showed a good performance against Bournemouth and that's why it will be a big challenge." On injuries to experienced players: "I think it would be an excuse if I said we need more experienced players. In the end, it's a chance for the young players to grow. It's a chance to learn. "We know that tough periods will come, and at the moment we have not got the easiest situation, but it's a chance for the players and also for me to see what characters we have here in this club. "So, the message is stick together, try to find solutions, stay positive, try to support each other and show togetherness, because especially in these periods you can be really honest with each other, and you can learn a lot from each other. "If everything went perfectly, you wouldn’t learn anything and that's why we see this period as a chance and opportunity."
